In a world full of screens and routines, we exist to offer something different: a chance to escape into the wild, face a real challenge and finish feeling stronger than when you started. We believe movement outdoors has the power to improve physical health, mental wellbeing, confidence and connection.
The Wolf Run weekends have three events with a variety of distances. They combine mud, trail and obstacle running across a range of distances: 5K and 10K for adult Wolf Run events, Junior Wolf Run events at 3K and 6K, and Trails without obstacles at 3K, 5K and 10K. Every event is designed to be wild, inclusive and genuinely fun.
Whether you are a seasoned athlete pushing hard, a charity runner striving for something bigger than yourself, a parent or sports coach inspiring the next generation, or a first time runner taking on something new, whatever your pace or reason for entering, this is your challenge and the achievement is yours to own.
The Wolf Run began in 2011 with a simple idea: swap pavements for wild running. Our aim was to create a unique event where personal challenge and teamwork matter more than finish times, with an event village and weekend experience like no other.
Founded by Charlie Moreton and his cousin Karen Archer, the first 10K event took place on the family farm in Warwickshire, with just 650 runners. Charlie, an ex farmer who grew up on the land, and Karen, a former lawyer with a passion for fitness, shared a belief that running could be more adventurous, inclusive and fun.
As the event grew, Karen moved on to focus on her writing career, and Charlie’s brother Will joined as Course Director. For Charlie, having Will on board wasn’t just practical, it was personal. Who better to design trails and obstacles with than his brother, who had been his adventure partner since childhood? Together they shaped the unique trails that make the Wolf Run feel more like a wild playground than your average run.
The idea for the Junior Wolf Run was sparked in the year Charlie’s son was born. Becoming a parent changed how he thought about the future of the event, and he loved the idea of younger families being able to take on the challenge together. The Junior event launched the following year, creating a space for children to experience adventure, confidence and teamwork alongside friends or family.
More recently, the 5K Wolf Run was introduced to make wild running accessible to even more people.
From the very beginning, Wolf Run has been built with the help of friends, family, local farmers, sports clubs and volunteers, growing into a close knit community rather than just a race series.

The Wolf Run remains proudly family run.
Charlie leads the business, with his brother Will overseeing course management. Cousin Tom manages the website and graphic design, Charlie’s wife, Katie leads branding and marketing, and his sister Harriet brings energy to event weekends as MC.
On event weekends you’ll often find other family members pitching in too, and you may even spot the Wolf Run brothers jumping in and running alongside participants in the final wave of the day. They love the Wolf Run experience as much as the people who take part.
Nature isn’t just the backdrop to the Wolf Run, it’s central to everything we do.
Our courses are designed to work with the land, using woodland, rivers, lakes, open fields and mud to create a raw, untamed experience. Every step reconnects you to the outdoors and taps into something primal: the thrill of facing the elements, the satisfaction of overcoming obstacles and the powerful moment of crossing the finish line.
Sustainability and the natural world are of utmost importance to us at the Wolf Run and form part of every decision we make.
That connection to the wild is what makes the Wolf Run truly different.

As the Wolf Run continues to grow, our focus remains the same: creating unforgettable outdoor experiences that inspire confidence, resilience and connection.
We’re always exploring new ideas, new formats and new partnerships while staying true to our roots in wild running, shared challenge and community.
People
We design non-competitive events where challenging yourself matters more than rankings. Wolf Run welcomes all abilities, ages and backgrounds, creating a space where people feel supported, and welcome. Movement, fresh air and shared fitness experiences sit at the heart of our approach.
Community
Wolf Run is proudly a family run business that works closely with local communities. We partner with local sports teams, charities and independent vendors, keeping our events rooted in the places we operate.
We also invest in vibrant event villages, with picnic benches, exhibitors, food vendors, a bar and a large children’s activity area, encouraging runners and families to stay, connect and make a day of it.
Environment
With strong farming roots, we understand land care and responsibility. Our events are wild by nature, but they are carefully planned and managed with respect for the landscapes we use.
We prioritise thoughtful course design, responsible build and breakdown, waste reduction and reusable infrastructure wherever possible.
One of our missions is to bring people back into nature, one muddy step at a time. We believe that when people experience the countryside in a powerful, physical way, they develop a deeper love for it and a stronger desire to protect it.
